Why choose Maxifisio for Reformer Pilates?

Enjoyable and challenging

Maria works hard to keep every class both enjoyable and challenging — the kind of session you look forward to. That’s deliberate: when a class is something you enjoy, you stick with it, and that consistency is what brings real, lasting results.

Physio-led classes

A physiotherapist’s understanding of your body — Maria is also a chartered physiotherapist, so she understands anatomy, injury prevention and rehabilitation. Every exercise is chosen and adapted to suit your body — safe and effective, whatever your starting point.

True bilingual instruction

No more struggling to follow instructions in Spanish. Maria is fully fluent in English after 11 years working in London, so you’ll understand every cue and correction.

Small group sizes

With a maximum of 5 participants per class, Maria can give you individual attention, correct your form, and adapt exercises to your specific needs.

Personalised adaptations

Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition, or simply want to progress safely, Maria adapts exercises to suit your level and any physical considerations.

Convenient location

Located in El Viso, one of Madrid’s most accessible neighbourhoods. Just 3 minutes from Cruz del Rayo metro (Line 9) or 6 minutes from República Argentina metro (Line 6).

After exercising most of my life I stopped 2 years ago and kept putting it off. Maria got me back to where I needed to be. She was absolutely fantastic with me as I'd lost my confidence and she knew exactly how to get me back into the swing of things. The most knowledgeable and professional instructor I've met yet.

Frequently asked questions

Do you speak English fluently?

Yes! Maria is fully bilingual and worked in London for 11 years. All group classes are conducted entirely in English.

Are the classes clinical or rehab-focused?

No — these are proper workouts on the Reformer: dynamic, fun and challenging at every level. Maria’s physiotherapy background is a bonus, not the focus. It means she can adapt any exercise safely to your body, but her classes are the kind you look forward to — clients regularly describe them as enjoyable with just the right amount of intensity.

I'm a complete beginner. Can I join?

Absolutely. We offer Beginners/Improvers classes specifically designed for those new to Reformer Pilates. Maria will guide you through everything step by step.

What difference does Maria's physiotherapy background make?

As a qualified physiotherapist, Maria understands how the body works at a deeper level. She can adapt exercises for injuries, chronic conditions, or specific physical needs — so every exercise can be adapted safely and precisely to your body — a bonus on top of a challenging, enjoyable class.

How many people are in each class?

Maximum 5 participants. This ensures everyone gets individual attention and form corrections.

Can I do Reformer Pilates if I have an injury?

In many cases, yes. Maria’s physiotherapy background means she can adapt exercises to work around injuries safely. Contact us to discuss your specific situation.

Where are you located?

We’re in the El Viso area of Madrid, 3 minutes from Cruz del Rayo metro (Line 9) and 6 minutes from República Argentina metro (Line 6). View our contact page for the address and map.

Do you offer online Reformer classes?

We offer online 1:1 sessions for clients who have their own Reformer at home. Maria will guide you through a personalised session. Group classes are in-studio only.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, fitted clothing that allows you to move freely. Grip socks are recommended but not required. We sell grip socks for €5 per pair—just contact us before your class if you’d like to purchase a pair.
