Maria Moreno

Maxifisio is founded by Maria “Maxi” Moreno, Physiotherapist since 2005 and specialised in Pilates (equipment and mat) since 2006. Maria is also a Certified Yoga teacher (200 hours in Ashtanga, Vinyasa & Hatha Yoga), she attended a programme of clinic rotations in the United States in 2004 and worked in London from 2007 until mid-2018. In 2008 Maria joined the clinical team of the renowned APPI (The Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) and has worked in their clinics, has taught seminars in London and Pilates courses internationally and filmed online classes for APPI.

In addition to specialising in Pilates (equipment and matwork) and Yoga, Maria is trained in Women’s Health, Hypopressive therapy, dry needling and Kinesiotaping. She has a personal interest in sports injuries and specialises in functional recovery. Maria has over 17 years of clinical experience having treated and rehabilitated patients ranging from rugby players to dancers, pregnant and postnatal women, patients with joint hypermobility, scoliosis, reduced mobility and elderly patients. She also specialises in rehabilitation work with Pilates.

Maria enjoys working as a Physiotherapist and as a Pilates, Yoga and Hypopressives instructor, especially teaching group classes which are her passion. She speaks both Spanish and English fluently and enjoys working with people.
